Terms of Service
Yezbi Terms of Service
Effective October 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Yezbi LLC, an Arkansas limited liability company ("Yezbi", "we", "us"). They cover your use of all Yezbi apps and websites: Yezbi Homeschool, Bookshelf, Kids Videos, Placement, Movie Night, HistoMap, Time Travelers, Tree of Life and National Parks, plus yezbi.com and our sign-in pages (together, "Yezbi"). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and is part of these terms.
By creating an account, or by using Yezbi after these terms are shown to you, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Yezbi.
1. The short version
- Yezbi is for families. An adult (18+) holds the account and is responsible for it, for the adults they invite, and for their children's use.
- You own your family's content. We use it only to run Yezbi for you.
- Suggestions are suggestions. AI drafts, ratings, age guidance, Placement results and event listings help you choose. They don't replace your judgment.
- Videos come from YouTube and follow YouTube's terms.
- Your first month is free, with no card needed to start. To keep using Yezbi after that, you choose a plan: $9.99 a month or $99 a year for the whole family. A plan renews until you cancel, and you can cancel online any time. We'll tell you before prices change.
- If something goes wrong, talk to us first. Arkansas law governs these terms.
2. Your free month and plans
Every new family starts with a free month of Yezbi, with no card needed. Before it ends, we'll tell you how to choose a plan. We won't charge you unless you choose a plan and enter your payment details yourself. If you don't choose one, we'll tell you what happens to your access before anything changes, and you can always export your family's information.
Cancelling and refunds. You can cancel a plan online any time. It stays active until the end of the month or year you've already paid for, and then it doesn't renew. We don't refund the unused part of a month or year, except where the law requires it. If we charged you by mistake, or Yezbi was unavailable to you for a long stretch, email support@yezbi.com and we'll make it right, including with a refund.
Yezbi is new, and we're adding to it all the time:
- features may change, move or be removed;
- some may be marked as previews;
- we may ask for your feedback.
Please keep your own copies of anything important: use the export features.
3. Your account
- Who can have an account. You must be at least 18, live in the United States, and be able to make a binding agreement. Children cannot create accounts.
- Your information. Give accurate information and keep it current.
- Security. Keep your password, PINs, family displays and private links (such as calendar share links) safe, and turn off a lost display promptly in its settings. Tell us at support@yezbi.com if you think someone has used your account without permission. You're responsible for what happens under your account unless it results from our failure to keep reasonable security.
- Family owner and other adults. The adult who creates the family is its owner. The owner can invite other adults (for example, a second parent, grandparent or caregiver) and decide their roles. The owner is responsible for choosing whom to invite and what they can see. Only the owner can export or delete the whole family. Only a parent or legal guardian can give permission for children's use of the family display (Section 4).
- One household. A family account is for one household. Don't share sign-ins with people outside it. Invite them instead, so their access can be managed.
4. Children
- Parents decide. Children use Yezbi only through profiles the parent creates and the family display the parent sets up, and in kids modes in the games. Children don't have their own accounts or sign-ins.
- Permission. Before we save anything your children do on the family display, a parent reads our notice to parents, which we email to their sign-in address, confirms that they are the child's parent or legal guardian, and agrees. We then email a confirmation with how to change your mind. If we later change the notice in an important way, we'll email you the new notice and ask again. You can withdraw permission at any time in Family settings. By adding a child, you confirm that you are that child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have their parent's or guardian's permission and authority to set up Yezbi for them.
- Supervision. Yezbi helps you set limits, but it doesn't lock a device or replace supervision. YouTube's player and outside links can lead outside Yezbi. Use device or browser parental controls where that matters to you, and decide whether Ask stays on at your family display (Privacy Policy, Section 4).
- Your responsibility. You're responsible for your children's use of Yezbi under your account, and for making sure it follows these terms.
5. Acceptable use
When using Yezbi, don't:
- access or try to access another family's information, or someone else's account;
- get around safety features, screen-time limits, usage limits, PINs or device controls;
- copy or scrape the catalogs, ratings or content in bulk, or use automated tools to collect them;
- reverse engineer, attack, overload or interfere with Yezbi or its providers;
- upload anything illegal, anything you don't have the right to share, malware, or content that exploits or endangers a child;
- use Yezbi to harass anyone or to collect information about other people's children;
- use Yezbi for a commercial service of your own (for example, reselling access) without our written permission. Tutors and co-ops using the workspace features their families invite them to is allowed;
- break YouTube's Terms of Service or the terms of other services Yezbi connects to.
We may remove content or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect children, families, Yezbi or our providers (Section 14).
6. Your content
- You own it. Plans, notes, records, uploads, book lists, ratings and other content you or your family add ("your content") belong to you or to whoever owns them.
- Our limited permission. You give Yezbi a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to store, copy, process, display, back up and send your content only to run, protect and support Yezbi for you, including through the service providers named in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they expire (Privacy Policy, Section 7). We don't publish your content, use it for advertising, sell it, or use it to train AI.
- AI help. AI help is on unless the family owner turns it off. While it is on, your permission includes sending the inputs described in the Privacy Policy to our AI provider to produce suggestions for you.
- Your rights to what you upload. Only upload content you have the right to use, such as your own photos or pages you may copy for your family's use. Respect copyright in curriculum materials.
- Feedback. If you send ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything. We won't make your identity or family details public.
7. Yezbi's content and software
Yezbi's software, design, catalog curation, our own ratings and notes, games, maps, guides and the YEZBI name and logo belong to Yezbi LLC or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable permission to use Yezbi for your household's learning and entertainment while these terms apply. Don't copy, resell or reuse Yezbi's content outside Yezbi except as the law allows (for example, printing your own portfolio or a guide for your family).
Some content comes from others and is credited in the app, including:
- the Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night;
- Wikidata (public domain);
- Open Library;
- Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons, under their licenses.
8. Videos and other outside content and services
- YouTube. Yezbi Homeschool, Kids Videos, HistoMap and Movie Night show YouTube videos through YouTube's official player and YouTube API Services, and videos Yezbi suggests open on YouTube.
- By using these features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms), and Google's Privacy Policy (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy) applies to YouTube.
- YouTube provides the videos. Yezbi doesn't own, host, download or edit them, and can't guarantee they stay available.
- Where a video plays inside Yezbi, Yezbi uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) player.
- YouTube may show ads, branding, links and suggestions that Yezbi doesn't control.
- Streaming availability. Movie Night shows which services carry a title using third-party data. Availability, prices and catalogs change often, so check the service before you rely on it. Yezbi isn't affiliated with any streaming service.
- Ratings and scores. Movie Night shows ratings from outside sources (for example, Wikidata critic scores, the catalog provider's rating, and Trakt or Simkl members' ratings), each credited. They are other people's opinions, may be incomplete or out of date, and aren't Yezbi's endorsement.
- Local events, field trips and library information come from public sources and other services. Dates, prices, ages and places can be wrong or change, so confirm with the organizer.
- Links. Outside websites are run by others under their own terms and policies.
- Availability. Outside services can change or stop. When they do, a Yezbi feature that depends on them may change or stop too.
9. AI suggestions
Some features use AI to draft or suggest things: Ask (reading what a grown-up types), book picks for weekly themes, chapter lists from photos, book details and book identification, workshop topics and guides, and summaries and ages for public events.
- AI output is a draft. It can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or not right for your child. Review it before you use it.
- You decide. AI doesn't grade, place or approve content for your children, and it makes no decisions about them.
- Not professional advice. AI suggestions aren't educational, medical, psychological or legal advice.
- Your choice. AI help is on unless the family owner turns it off, which they can do at sign-up, when giving permission or at any time in Family settings. Features keep working the manual way.
- Availability. AI features may be unavailable, limited or paused (for example, while we test quality or to control costs).
How AI handles your information is explained in the Privacy Policy, Section 4.
10. Placement, ratings and educational information
- Placement is a starting point, not a diagnosis. Yezbi Placement suggests where a learner might start in a curriculum, based on a short skills check. It is not a diagnostic, psychological, medical, special-education or standardized assessment. It doesn't identify learning differences and isn't a substitute for an evaluation by a qualified professional. Results depend on the answers given and on our general mapping to curricula, and may not fit your child. Placement results stay in your browser.
- Kids Videos curation is help, not a guarantee. Catalog ratings, age guidance, themes, your settings and your blocks reduce the chance of unsuitable content, but no review is perfect. Ratings may be AI-assisted or template-based, and not every video has been fully watched by a person. Preview content for your children when it matters, and report anything that looks wrong.
- Content notes and filters in Movie Night are guidance from limited sources, not a guarantee.
- Your homeschool obligations. Yezbi helps you plan and keep records. You remain responsible for meeting your state's homeschool requirements (in Arkansas, for example, filing your notice of intent) and for your children's education.
11. Your privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and your choices, including the notice to parents about children's information.
12. Paid plans
Not in effect until paid plans launch.
13. Changes to Yezbi
We're always improving Yezbi. We may add, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel. If you've prepaid for a period you can no longer use, we'll refund the unused part. We may also pause features for maintenance, security, provider outages or cost limits.
14. Suspension and ending your account
- You can stop using Yezbi and delete your family or your account at any time (Privacy Policy, Section 8). To delete your account itself, email privacy@yezbi.com.
- We may suspend or end access if:
- you seriously or repeatedly break these terms;
- it's needed to protect a child, a family, Yezbi or our providers;
- the law requires it;
- we stop offering Yezbi.
Unless it's urgent or the law prevents it, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to export your information.
- If we stop offering Yezbi or a paid plan, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any prepaid unused period.
15. Disclaimers
Yezbi is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Yezbi LLC disclaims all warranties not stated in these terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Yezbi will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that suggestions, ratings, availability information or outside content will be accurate or suitable for your family.
Some states don't allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- Yezbi LLC won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from Yezbi or these terms, except where caused by our gross negligence, willful misconduct or fraud;
- Yezbi LLC's total liability for all claims about Yezbi or these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) $50.
These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, including liability that can't be limited for personal injury or for violating your rights under privacy law.
17. Responsibility for misuse
If someone makes a claim against Yezbi LLC because of content you uploaded without the right to do so, or because you deliberately misused Yezbi in violation of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with that claim. This doesn't apply to claims caused by our own fault.
18. Disagreements
- Talk to us first. Most problems can be solved quickly. Before starting any legal claim, email support@yezbi.com, or write to Yezbi LLC at P.O. Box 71, West Fork, AR 72774, describing the problem and what you'd like. We'll both try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.
- Governing law. Arkansas law governs these terms and any dispute about Yezbi, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where federal law applies.
- Where. If we can't resolve a dispute, either of us may bring it in small claims court if it qualifies. Otherwise, disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Washington County, Arkansas, and we both agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
- Your consumer rights. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell the family owner by email and in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using Yezbi after that date, the updated terms apply. Some changes need your express agreement instead, and we'll ask for it: changes to how children's information is handled, and changes to a paid plan's price.
20. General
- These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Yezbi about Yezbi.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce a term right away, we haven't given up the right to.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Yezbi, and we'll tell you if we do. You may not transfer your account without our written permission.
- We may send you notices by email to the family owner's address or in the app. You can send us notices at the contacts below.
- Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
